I am writing to inform you of a recent cybersecurity incident involving PowerSchool, a software vendor that warehouses data for our Student Information System. This incident involved unauthorized access to student and staff data. Upon investigation, Arkport CDS's information was involved in this breach.
PowerSchool has informed us that the compromised data includes personally identifiable information (PII) of parents, students, and employees. PowerSchool is still conducting their investigation.
The district is working to gather additional information and resources. We will provide them as they become available.
