LEAD WATER TEST RESULTS FROM OCTOBER 22, 2024

November 7, 2024

Mr. Harper,

The results from the required 3-year testing for lead of cold water taps in the district were completed on October 22, 2024. All NYSDOH guidelines and protocol were followed to complete the testing. Myself and GST BOCES Health and & Safety conducted the sample testing.

The results were received on October 31, 2024. There were 3 taps that came back above the 5ppb threshold. The 3 outlets have been taken out of service pending remediation and clearly marked not potable water.

The outlets are:

Flex Room 189 West – it was found that after the room renovation the aerator was not cleared and was clogged with debris. The aerator was cleaned and sanitized and will be retested on 11/7/2024. The tap is placed out of service. When the retest results are received, the tap will be placed back in service if acceptable levels are received.                Reading of 9.5

Hose Bib 186 exterior - this is a hose bib on the exterior building. The water has been shut off and a keyed bib will be installed to prohibit use.                                                                         Reading of 7.7

S3 – maintenance room with renovated fixture in 2021. This original tap was a science tap and falls under the guidelines of science rooms. This will be marked not-potable water tap and a Reading of 21.0.
